Niykee who's had many a hectic few years which included being chosen by Snoop to sing with him on the YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee keeps a steady songwriting schedule even though she has been a bit busy. A producer magnet Niykee constantly sifts through the many beats that are delivered to her. She finds that most beats spark fresh songs. "I'll be able tell in the first five seconds if it's a good beat. Once I've an idea in my head I'll begin writing right away." I'll sit out on my back porch with my guitar, and then the lyrics just come and usually it's completed in less than thirty minutes. Niykee continues to develop her abilities as a poet and the lyricist. She explains how her experiences of suffering through the years can be a source of unique motivation. "Even even if I'm not writing about my life directly, the sadness of losing my sister as well as my difficult childhood are incorporated into my music," she says. The resulting music is shaped by my experiences and adds a greater meaning, which I find very important. I would like to be able listen to my songs in 20 years and still feel proud about my words.
